Fronto

FRONTO – When your smokes deserve the best!

The word Fronto derived decades ago in the West Indian community – mainly Jamaican, and is a term used to denote a dark wrapper grade tobacco leaf used to wrap buds.

Over the years, there have been many variations of the word. It’s quite common to hear the word referred to as…Fanta; Fanto; Grabba; Red Herring, or Red Rose.

Grabba is used interchangeably as a wrapper and crusher. In most cases, it takes on the traditional form of a dark leaf wrapper used to wrap buds. However, in other cases, it means to “crush” said leaf into fine pieces and add it to your smokes.

More recently, names like Red Herring and Red Rose have become popular household items. Red Rose, like Grabba, also refers to the crushing of the tobacco leaf as an additive to smokes.

Red Herring is often chosen by user seeking a very strong leaf to complement their smokes because this leaf is Fire Cured and has the aroma of smoked fish; or something barbecued; hence, the name, Herring.

USAGE Carefully cut between the veins of the leaf; add smokes; moisten, roll and enjoy.

How fine leaf is crushed depends on user preference.
